Those of you that have been following Armour Roof may have noticed in the last year we’ve seen growth in our team. In fact, we doubled our personnel from last year until now. And consequently, we had to build out more office space to accommodate to all of our new team members.
We started making plans with designers and architects late last year to design the layout of our new space and started putting the pieces together earlier this year. Here are some pictures of the space BEFORE we did anything. Our team had to survey what we were working with to understand what demolition had to take place.
We realized that while we know commercial roofing in Omaha, we did not know design. Armour teamed up with Anita from Interior Design Group in Omaha to help us draw professional plans and assist in the design elements of our office space. Below are the samples of finishes and selections we were presented from their team, including a professional floor plan to optimize the current space.
With a clear vision in mind, we set out to do as much of the work ourselves including demo-ing walls and doors and framing. Here are some videos of some of our guys kicking down doors.

Over the next few weeks and months we (namely Brad) completed the arduous task of framing. Then John D. took over to schedule contractors, order office equipment, and coordinate everything it took to finish off our space.
Slowly, but surely things have been coming together:
Even with a few small things yet to be finished (glass panes, countertops, installation of doors, etc.) we were still able to host a Grand Opening party where we invited all of our friends and families to show off our new space.
We had all the workings of a Grand Opening party for a commercial roofing company that is comprised of 43% kids: a face painter, a balloon artist (our very own John B.), cupcakes and cake, plenty of sugary drinks, and a whole table full of BBQ and all the fixings provided by Porky Butts here in town.

One of our sayings at Armour is “People First, Roofs Second” and part of that is making sure we treat our team members and their families to a great experience working at Armour.
