Rhino Group RX is a provider of medical equipment and services to over 400 facilities in Nebraska, Iowa, and the Dakotas. From surgical beds to walls and door, they provide it all.
When we first saw their roof, we could tell the black rubber system was extremely aged. Through the years all the expanding and contracting due to fluctuating weather caused failure in the roof’s termination bar. That bar was visibly torn from all the movement and created 1 inch gaps in the roof which became exposure points for water to enter. Additionally, the building wasn’t well cooled so in the Summer the black roof attracted an enormous amount of heat which created unbearable working conditions.
We recommended a fluid applied Triton Liquid Rubber Membrane that could restore the existing roof system. Nebraska temperatures would cause any roof system to expand/contract and so the 1200% elongation rating of this product would be both elastic and durable. By applying TritoFlex over the existing rubber roof, Rhino Group now has 140 mils of rubber roof. In contrast, new roof membranes typically come in thicknesses of 45, 60, or 80 mils. TritoFlex corrects all the errors of the failing rubber roof below. Now the roof system is seamless, flexible, and very durable (resistant to baseball sized hail!). To top things off (literally), we applied a 20 mil white acrylic finish coat. Rhino may now experience up to 30-40% savings on their cooling costs. Win Win!
“The team was phenomenal from the sales to the execution of the installation. Great value to solve issues that were left undone by other roofing contractors. Highly recommend.” -Jeff K.
